The compounding technique of PQ was described and its influences to cement thickening time and application in high density cement system were evaluated, as well as its temperature sensitivity.

The experimental results show that the latex cement system has a good overall performance, including low loss water, less free fluid, thickening time easy to control, and good rheological property.
