Using antibodies or photodynamictherapy to specifically target cancer cells have both been successful for treating some cancers, so combining the two together is certainly an exciting plan.
A research group at Boston's Massachusetts General Hospital, led by Tayyaba Hasan, has used nanocells and photodynamictherapy (light-activated chemicals) to target pancreatic cancer.
Photodynamic (light) therapy and lasers might be able to remove some BCCs with less scarring, but may not be as effective as surgery to prevent recurrence.
