The relation between output correlation spot shape and length width ratio of input correlation image was analyzed quantificationally by using of diffraction theory in the joint transform correlation.

The fusion experiment is carried out by the SPOT multi-spectrum image and high-resolution image. Entropy and correlation coefficient are used to judge and analyze the fusion results objectively.

Zero-order diffraction light spot can influence the detection of the correlation peak in joint transform correlator.
