GPS-RTK bathymetric survey technique without tidalobservation was successfully applied in Yangtze Estuary Channel Regulation Project for monitoring of river regime near leading jetty.
However, the limited data points gained from this directly observation were obviously far from the requirement of further research on the fine structure of tidal fields.
