The sludge characteristics in a full-scale upflow anaerobic sludge blanket(UASB) reactor treating avermectin wastewater are investigated in the process of sludge granulation without carrier.

Two methods to start-up the upflow anaerobic sludge blanket bed (UASB) reactor were investigated.

UASB (upflow anaerobic sludge blanket) has the advantages of both anaerobic filtration and anaerobic wastewater treatment and it also has strong adaptability to different kinds of wastewater.
