Objective To study the changes of the levels of serum neuron specific enolase (NSE), S-100B protein and myelin basic protein (MBP) in acute stroke patients and their clinical significance.

Results the serum concentrations of S-100B, NSE and MBP after the injury in 40 patients with severe head injury were higher than those in the normal control group.
