Amorphous material is one of the most active part of the solid phase of soil.

The preparation methods for amorphous solid were reviewed. Some ways to prepare bulk amorphous solid were introduced. Some characteristics of the preparation methods were discussed and compared.

Up to now, the technology has been used to prepare supersaturated solid solution, amorphous alloys, intermetallic compound, nanocrystalline, magnetism materials, superconductor materials, and etc.
