In this paper a set of tension formulas for composite winding outside thin wall cylinder are established according to theory of cylinder shell.

Then the practical example is given to calculate the thermal deformation and the bulging deformation of the solidified shell under three tension speeds.

Aiming at the problem of net-shell connector's rated load not meeting the requirement of overhead transmission line construction, a special traction tube was developed to help with tension stringing.
