The enhanced compression of fundamental femtosecond solitons can be obtained by combined effects of negative third order dispersion and Raman selfscattering in the fibers.
Because of the phenomenon that the negative self-scattering cross sections cause the negative probability sample, a nonnegative corrected method is put forward and validated by the benchmark problems.
It is noted that although both the single scattering model and the multiple scattering model give quite close results, the results from the latter are more reasonable and self-consistent.
