Evolution of pulses obtained by modulating spatial optical solitons in a Kerr nonlinearity planar waveguide with anomalous dispersion is investigated.

The study shows that both kinds of solitons are all unstable, and we find the stability of polychromatic partially coherent optical spatial solitons is affected by light frequency.

Strong optical spatial solitons are solitons that satisfy the strong nonlocal condition.
