Based on many years research of broken rock zone the paper describes roadway support theory, classification of rocks in the loose rock zone and mechanism of rock-bolting and shotcreting.

This paper deduced the formulae to calculate the parameters of shotcreting and bolting in three types of surrounding-rock-loosened ring individually from the theory of surrounding rock loosened ring.

The theory of strengthening surrounding rock supported with bolting is applied in this paper. Then the strengthening model of mechanics parameters of bolting body is established.
