A finger swipe on the right side of the screen opens a menu of buttons for functions like search, sharing and a shortcut to the home screen. Swiping on the left side switches between open apps.

When using a tablet, you can swipe from the left bezel to switch to another app or run two apps side-by-side.

Select the News Feed, and it appears instantly on on the right-hand side; swipe to your left, and it'll occupy the entire screen.
