Analytic solutions of temperature and stress distributions in condition of CW and pulse pumping are given. We have analyzed and discussed the thermal distortion in the slab.

Partially end-pumped slab laser is an innovative solid state laser. Combining the hybrid resonator with partially end-pumping, the output power can be scaled at high beam quality(called InnoSlab).

Based on our investigation results, some key problems and techniques concerning slab lasers, such as the thermal effects, pumping cavity and resonators, are analyzed physically.
