The slab target temperature function of optimizing temperature decision of heating furnace and its solution method for delay rolling were introduced.

A preliminary study was carried out on the main technical factors affecting slab heating. And the control method and experience of blank temperature of this furnace are presented.

As a result, the heating capacity and quality of heating furnace is improved, the slab surface oxidation burning loss is decreased and the gas consumption reduced and the economic benefit remarkable.
