Perforating Machine IBM's first patent (issued July 25, 1911) described an invention related to punched-card tabulation.

This makes me all sound like punched card computers to you, But for me i was very proud of my 2400 baud modem.

I would have thought a good old-fashioned paper ticket that is punched would have sufficed since the card was used exactly once - at the entrance!
