The requirements of distribution transformer short impedance in national specifications were analyzed and transformer short-circuit impedance was used to test the capacity of transformer.

For the direct power traction systems with full parallel connection, the characteristics of short-circuit impedance is analyzed with method of two symmetrical phases, and the expression is acquired.

Also compared to the short circuit impedance method, it is more sensitive to distribution inductance and capacitance effecting on the transformer distortion.
