The paper introduces a handwritten Chinese character radical set which is established oriented for the research on continuous handwritten character sequence recognition.

In the course of recognition, the direction code sequence is stochastic and uncertain.

This process is composed of such sections as recognition of target template, alignment between query sequence and target sequence, modeling, evaluation of structure rationality.
