In order to identify oil and water layers accurately and know the oil-bearing property in the reservoirs better, complex resistivity well logging has already become an important new method.

Rational interpretation of well track position in reservoir, changes of resistivity logging response and of porosity logging response are made by using XXX horizontal well as examples.

This method has been used in the horizontal well logging interpretation in Tarim oilfield to identify the relative position between well track and strata and to calculate the horizontal resistivity.
