A butyl rubber based adhesive for hot melt application as sealant for cavity-glass was prepared.

Using butyl rubber as the base material, tackifier and some auxiliary additives, the butyl rubber based hot-melt adhesive was prepared for favorable adhesiveness with PP, PC and metals.

The formulation of a hot-melt sealing adhesive for shrinkable materials is presented. The effects of stick agent, filler and butyl rubber on the properties of the adhesive are studied.
