An acoustic-emission pulse contains a very wide range of frequency components, extending up into the megacycle range.

At the expense of increasing probability of misinformation (false alarm), weak signals in very wide range of frequency spectra may be resolved.

As the result shows, using the proposed detector, not only the range of frequency being captured can be widen, but it is easy to be implemented.
