In comparison with dam site flood, the reservoir inflow flood has higher flood peak and greater flood volume in a short time interval, and its flood peak generally occurs earlier.

In this research, author employ two types model to forecast reservoir inflow flood. However in spite of applying which model to proceed flood forecast, system error is inevitable.

Flood control requires the reservoir maintain low levels of water to allow for the inflow of flood waters, while power generation requires high levels of water in the reservoir.
