The hardware in this measurement system of three-dimensional profilometry that consists of projecting light, CCD camera, image card and computer is designed.

The movements are calculated by projecting a grid of infrared light spots into a room, tracking how light bounces back, and correlating this with information from the stereo cameras.

This does not involve holographic images of the usual sort, but is a way of projecting beams of light wherever they are needed.
