Based on the principle of active biofilm expansion , a non-steadystate analytic mathematical model of microbial interactions in nitrifying biofilm was developed.
Simulation results show that the algorithm could be used not only in steadystate signal analysis, but also in periodical non-steadystate process signal analysis.
