The new [Aero-generator] turbine is based on semi-submersible oil platform technology and does not have the same weight constraints as a normal wind turbine.

Not to have the foreign exchange to buy a new bearing for a steam turbine, or oil, or fertilizer, when the need arises is a risk they simply cannot afford.

And of course there are also new ways of making electricity beyond just burning some rocks or oil to create steam to drive a turbine.
