OPEC has made a slight upward revision to its forecast for oil demand for next year but is still concerned that the pace of economic recovery will temper demand.

Nevertheless, OPEC has agreed to raise oil output by 500,000 barrels a day beginning in November to ensure ample supply during the cold winter months, and to temper prices.
