To download the templates, open Word 2007 and click the Officebutton on the top left corner and select New.

Although the Officebutton is no longer an all-powerful menu at the top of the screen, most things are where you'd expect to find them in the current Office 2007.
But as Vaughn-Nichols points out, that may change with Office 2007, and let's not forget that the "Start" button no longer has the word "Start" on it in Vista. Egad!
