It is generally acknowledged that the isotonic exercise can result in cardiac dilatation and the isometric exercise can cause myocardial pachynsis.

The index of left ventricle pachynsis was lowered after treatment in both groups. The decrease of that in the treating group and diastole improvement were more obvious (P<0.01).

Conclusion The normal anti-consumption therapy combined with Chinese medicine is conducive to relieve pachynsis and adherence of tuberculous pleuritis and recover the lung function.
