It is a colourless liquid with a burning taste.

The first flavour I notice is sweetness, unpleasantly so, then a burning heat, then a back of the throat translation of the musty smell into taste.

Although it still has that peaty, smoky taste, it's not throat burning and I didn't feel I wanted to mix it with soda pop.
