Handheld ultrasound devices currently on the market can't e-mail images directly— a user has to transfer them to a PC first, either with a docking station or by removing the device's memory card.

Running the program from external storage memory is not advised since when connected to PC the external card could be unrecognizable by the system.

The only way you could be infected is if your memory card already has a virus for the PC.
