In this paper, two new methods of thermal error robust modeling for NC machine tools are proposed: one is the comprehensive extreme value method, the other is the optimal experiment design method.

This paper uses the intersection experiment design principle to verify outstanding performance of the optimal joints, determined by redundancy method, for the manipulator posture.

We first analytically study the optimal design of the mixed termination structure to present a complete set of design theory and then verify the theory by experiment.
