An Uzbek cameraman has footage of an armoured personnel-carrier going through a crowd of agitated Kyrgyz men as it approaches some Uzbeks.

The time and preparation that the Chinese leadership invested in cultivating these personnel may be one indication of a robust carrier plan.

It has a long way to go to operate an air wing, provide air, surface, and sub-surface defenses for the carrier, supplying the carrier, and training the personnel to operate it. That is many years off.
