After a wave of negative opinion, petitions, charity campaigns and cupcake donations, gamers upset over the lack of choice in Mass Effect 3 convinced the writers and developers at Bioware that the ending to their epic space trilogy was imperfect, and that they had to go back to the drawing board to satisfy gamers.
