The process ofheat treating is the method by which metals are heated and cooled in a series ofspecific operations that never allow the metal to reach the molten state.
A method is introduced in the thesis to measure the water equivalent of calorimeter in the experiment of measuring liquid specificheat and solve the problems during the operation.
The feasibility of using quasi-steady state method for the measurements of effective thermal conductivity and specificheat of nanoparticle suspension is discussed theoretically and experimentally.
