Unemployed and short on cash, Jerry Leonhardt pulled into a recycling center in Los Angeles, his white Chevy pickup packed with used cardboard boxes salvaged from behind supermarkets and mini-malls.

As expected though, our room wasn't ready yet so we decided to stroll in the nearby shops and mini malls.
