As I wrote last week, Sasol, a South African company that produces diesel fuel and naphtha from coal, is considering building a similar plant to take advantage of the natural gas fields of Canada.

Considering the high contents of olefins and nitrogen, the whole fraction of delayed coker distillates (including light and heavy naphtha, gas oil) must be hydrotreated.

The refinery coker dry gas is treated with the dry gas plant, then sent into the Primary reformer to substitute for a part of naphtha as the feed for ammonia production.
