The functions of the hollow cathode for electron bombardment mercury ion thruster and its requirements are described.

The results indicate that the derivative 1and 2 have extraction abilities for mercury ion , however the extraction abilities for silver ion are weak.

There are many common principles to remove mercury in industrial wastewater, such as absorption, sedimentation, flocculation, ion exchange and filtration etc.
