Using yeast cells as a model, the research team at the University of Gothenburg has successfully identified one of the enzymes required.

Artificial metabolic system model was built by analysis for relationship between enzymes and every regulation pattern from the view of biological metabolism law.

The results obtained may provide theoretical basis and significative information for finding out the hydrolytic mechanism of enzymes and for designing highly efficient artificial enzyme model systems.
