This paper proposes a novel MAC protocol for the mixed services in the near-space communication network.

This idea of detonating bombs in near-space was proposed in 1957 by Nicholas Christofilos, a physicist at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory.

He hopes to have the first passengers aloft in the near-space vehicle called a “bloon” — the company doesn't appear to be big on capital letters — by the middle of this decade.
