Fractal singular value neighbor distance is brought forward based on fractal neighbor distance. Fractal coding and local singular value decomposition are used to improve the recognition rate.

Since the decomposition is based on the local characteristic time scale of the data, it is applicable to nonlinear and non-stationary processes.

Based on wavelet decomposition this paper presented a fusion algorithm, which extracted the local edge info in subband images as fusion rule and fused two leather images with complementarity.
