A method of measuring manual VSAT receiving antenna gain by using the satellite beacon and high gain standard horn antenna is described in this paper.

Then, the effects of radar beacon position, cluster geometry and satellite altitude on the geometry dilution of precision factor are analyzed.

The satellite was partially recovered approximately 6 months ago with its beacon and boot loader operational.
