Range Queries can be inclusive or exclusive of the upper and lower bounds. Sorting is done lexicographically.

Sure enough, the race that comes back is Race_01, which is correct: 26.2 is greater than 13.1, both mathematically and lexicographically.

My longest race currently is 103.6 miles (although I've personally never come close to running this distance!), which reads lexicographically as three digits to the left of the decimal point.
