Based on experimental test, a new impact type inertia separator with fluted tubes, with high efficiency and low pressure drop, used for circulation fluidized bed boilers is proposed by authors.

The air inlet of the inertia separator is connected with the upper part of the desulfurizing reaction tower. The lower port of the inertia separator is directly connected with the middle ash can.
