At last we focused on the detailed role and new research proceeding of nitric oxide involving elicitor-induced defense responses, and its interaction with other plant signal molecules.

Here, we give a review on the herbivore-induced signaling pathways resulting in a defense response, the production of volatiles and specific elicitors.

These results demonstrated that the accumulation of oxalate oxidase was induced by barley powdery fungus and possibly associated with defense response of barley to powdery mildew fungus.
