The analysis of sidesways of staggered steel truss structure is discussed. The mathematical model of an equivalent continum is proposed and solved by the lateral shear rigidity method.

Iterative formulas of nodal rotational Angle and lateral deflection of truss panel and fixed-moment in end-fixing Vierendeel truss subjected to vertical loads are presented in this paper.
Principal similarity coefficients of the test model are calculated to sufficient for similarity requirement of resisting to lateral stiffness. The steel truss was made of red copper in the model.
