The synthesis of 3,3 , 4,4 -benzophenone tetracarboxylic acid by liquid phase air oxidation of 1,1-bis(3,4-dimethylphenyl)ethane in titanium reactor was studied.

Fluorobenzoic acids were prepared from fluorotoluenes through liquid phase air oxidation with acetic acid as solvent and Co~(2+)-Mn~(2+)-1, 1,2,2-tetrabromoethane as catalyst.

The conditions of production of copper sulfate by air oxidation in liquid phase were discussed.
