Each of its pixels is sensitive to specific incident angles and supplies a component of the mathematical operation called the Fourier Transform to produce an image about 20 pixels across.
It is not surprising that this incident retains its power to appal: the grainy CCTV image that captured the small boy being led away by a bigger one has become an icon of depravity.
For maximum polarization, the incoming light must have an incident Angle of 30 degree, and the camera is aimed at the subject at an Angle of 30 degree from the other side (see image below).
