Conclusions drawn in this paper are of great significance to improvement of the detecting method of lime content and guarantee of project quality.

Based on the laboratory tests, the compaction property of lime-loess and it's shearing property are analysized when the lime content is different.

At the same time, the relationship of compaction curve, maximum dry densities, optimum water content and lime content are researched through the compaction tests.
