Child Protection Act enlarges the scope of the Federal hazardous Substances Labeling Act to ban hazardous toys and other articles so hazardous that adequate label warnings could not be written.

Under the Amendments Act, the FDA can require companies to submit new labeling within 30 days, or provide a reason why they do not believe such labeling changes are needed.

With the implementation of the nutrition labeling and Education Act in 1994, egg products sold at retail are also required to bear nutrition labeling.
