To solve these problems, the paper presents two classes of ways: One based on image restoration technique and the other based on image enhancement technique.

At the aspect of image enhancement technique, this paper proposed the adaptive gray-scale extension and enhanced the higher temperature region, which is important to this system.

A novel image enhancement technique suitable for low light level image, dualistic sub image enhancement based on two dimensional histogram analysis and histogram equalization, is presented.
