The failure mechanism and mechanical property of a brittle composite matrix, reinforced with short fibers under the uniaxial tensile load, have been studied.

In order to investigate the mechanical performance of lattice girders, a series of small scale static load tests are carried out and the loading properties and failure behaviour are analysed.

Because the mechanical systems work in the long time, affected by the environment and applied load, occurrence of failure is unavoidable.
